LiuGong Showcases Electric Heavy Equipment at PT Borneo Indobara Exhibition
LiuGong Indonesia participated in the heavy equipment exhibition titled “The Ceremony of Electrification and Green Realization”, organized by PT Borneo Indobara and held on February 7–9, 2026. The exhibition exclusively featured electric heavy equipment as part of a collective effort to accelerate sustainable mining practices.
During the exhibition at the Borneo Indobara mining site, LiuGong presented a range of electric-based mining solutions, from supporting equipment such as solar-powered tower lamps to fully electric heavy machinery.
One of the highlighted units was the LiuGong 870HE electric wheel loader, equipped with a bucket capacity of up to 7.2 cubic meters. Powered by a 427 kWh Lithium Ferro-Phosphate battery, the unit requires only one hour of charging and is capable of operating for 8–10 working hours.
LiuGong also showcased the DW105AE wide body electric dump truck. The unit delivers up to 700 kW of power and 4,800 N.m of torque, enabling it to easily handle payloads of up to 70 tons.
The DW105AE is powered by a 528 kWh Lithium Ferro-Phosphate battery, allowing it to operate for 5–6 hours. Despite its size, the unit requires only 45 minutes to reach approximately 80 percent charge and is ready to resume operations.
To support demanding mining environments, both electric units are equipped with IP67-rated safety protection.
Both the electric wheel loader and wide body dump truck offer tangible benefits for users. Compared to conventional machines, LiuGong electric wheel loaders can reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by up to 30 percent while improving efficiency by 14 percent. A significant advantage is the reduction of CO₂ emissions by up to 133 tons per year, based on 3,000 operating hours annually.
Meanwhile, the LiuGong electric wide body dump truck delivers a TCO reduction of up to 50 percent compared to conventional diesel-powered units, with efficiency improvements of up to 24 percent.
As part of the event, LiuGong Indonesia also conducted a ceremonial handover of the DW105AE unit to PT Cipta Kridatama. The machine’s performance and its positive impact on operational costs form the foundation of the collaboration between LiuGong and Cipta Kridatama. The electric wide body dump truck will be deployed to support sustainable mining operations at PT Borneo Indobara.
