PNJ Director Dr. Syamsurizal, S.E., M.M expressed high appreciation for the ongoing collaboration with LiuGong. He emphasized that the partnership, which began in 2024, has been realized through tangible contributions such as the provision of equipment and work facilities by LiuGong at the PNJ campus. “This collaboration is not merely conceptual—it is already being implemented and delivering direct benefits to students. We are committed to continuing and expanding this partnership in the future,” he stated.
He also advised the interns to prepare themselves well and make the most of this opportunity. According to him, internship experience not only provides technical understanding of heavy equipment but also develops problem-solving skills in facing real-world challenges. “This experience will help you find the right solutions and contribute to company efficiency. She also shared several key messages for the students, including maintaining the reputation of their alma mater, fostering a positive attitude, upholding honesty and integrity, and being proactive and initiative-driven at work. Adaptability was also highlighted as a key factor, considering the differences between workplace culture and campus life. “We hope students can quickly adapt and demonstrate their best performance throughout the internship program,” she said.
Dr. Irma also expressed appreciation to PT LiuGong Machinery Indonesia for providing this opportunity and hopes the collaboration will continue to grow and deliver broader benefits in the future.
Through this program, LiuGong Indonesia aims to enhance the competencies of Indonesian students by providing real work experience in the field. Participants will be involved in work processes and decision-making, preparing them to enter the professional workforce upon completion of the internship.

The internship lasts for six months, with placements across various operational areas in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Pekanbaru, Morowali, Weda, and Merauke. Participants will take on roles as mechanics, aftersales support, as well as back-office positions in Jakarta.
Upon completion, participants will undergo evaluation as part of the internship-to-employment scheme, with the opportunity to be recruited as full-time employees of LiuGong Indonesia.
The collaboration between LiuGong, PNJ, and Polsri also includes a one-semester integrated curriculum, student selection by the respective campuses, and scholarships awarded to approximately 25% of selected participants. Scholarship recipients will also have the opportunity to study in China before returning to Indonesia for further selection stages.
To date, the program has been conducted in three batches for PNJ and two batches for Polsri, reflecting LiuGong’s long-term commitment to developing highly skilled professionals in the heavy equipment sector.
