LiuGong Introduces Latest F-Series and Integrated Solutions for Mining Industry in Makassar

Makassar — PT LiuGong Machinery Indonesia strengthened its commitment to Indonesia’s mining industry by introducing its latest F-Series excavator lineup to customers, dealers, and financing partners in Makassar, South Sulawesi

During the event held on 17 September 2026, LiuGong showcased the 906F and 908F compact excavators, the 920F and 922F in the 20-ton class, as well as the 933E and 938EHD in the 30-ton class. LiuGong also displayed the DG22 genset, along with two lighting solutions, the SLT400 Solar Light Tower and DLT2000 Diesel Light Tower, as part of its supporting solutions for mining operations.

The range of products demonstrates LiuGong’s commitment to providing solutions for various applications across work sites, ranging from supporting operations to demanding mining activities that require high productivity.

“Sulawesi plays an important role in Indonesia’s mining industry, and we see that customer needs in this region continue to grow. Through this event, we aim to be closer to our customers, understand their challenges firsthand, and introduce solutions that can support their productivity and operational efficiency,” said Sahdan Fikri, Director of Aftersales at PT LiuGong Machinery Indonesia.

LiuGong has more than three decades of experience in excavator development. The company began developing excavators in 1992 and has continued to innovate in line with technological advancements and industry needs, leading to the development of its F-Series excavators.

The technological development of the F-Series focuses on improving productivity while enhancing operational efficiency. The latest technologies incorporated into the series can increase productivity by up to 15 percent while reducing fuel consumption by up to 16 percent. With a variety of models and configurations, LiuGong provides customers with the flexibility to select equipment based on site characteristics, type of work, production targets, and operational requirements.

“We developed the F-Series by listening to our customers’ needs. In the mining sector, customers need equipment that is not only powerful, but also capable of delivering consistent productivity and efficiency throughout the work cycle. The F-Series addresses these needs through a combination of performance, control, and operator comfort,” said Sahdan Fikri.

Three decades of innovation have helped build customer trust in LiuGong. During the Makassar event, LiuGong also held a ceremonial handover of heavy equipment units to several customers who have entrusted their equipment needs to LiuGong.

As part of its commitment to providing total solutions for customers in Indonesia, LiuGong also reintroduced financing services from LiuGong Finance Indonesia. The presence of LiuGong Finance Indonesia is part of the company’s efforts to provide more accessible financing options and support businesses across the Sulawesi region.

The event also marked the inauguration of a collaboration between LiuGong Indonesia University and Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang. Both parties are committed to developing local talent in line with industry needs at both the national and international levels. In addition, LiuGong Indonesia is developing the LiuGong Customer Experience Center at Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang. The facility will serve as a training center for students to gain closer exposure to heavy equipment technology and the industry through both theoretical and practical training.
