LiuGong Machinery Indonesia Wraps Up 7th National Technical Skills Competition 2024
2024-11-02
LiuGong Machinery Indonesia, successfully held the Final National Technical Skills Competition 2024 at the LiuGong Customer Experience Center in partnership with Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ). Now in its seventh year for the annual event, took place from October 17-18, 2024, with 21 best participants from across Indonesia
With the tagline Challenge Yourself, Achieve Greatness! The competition gave technicians the chance to show off their skills in working with heavy machinery. This aligns with LiuGong’s core values of customer care, quick action, reliability, and skill development. The participants were divided into seven teams, all competing to win the top spot and represent Indonesia in the LiuGong Global Technical Skills Competition 2024, set to take place in China.
On the final day, important guests, including Djauhari Oratmangun, the Ambassador of Indonesia to China and Mongolia; Levi Lin, President Director of LiuGong Machinery Indonesia; and Syamsurizal, Director of Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, attended the event.
Building Stronger Indonesia-China Ties Through Education and Industry
At the closing ceremony, Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun spoke about the key areas strengthening the partnership between Indonesia and China, especially in trade and investment. China continues to be Indonesia’s largest trading partner, with trade totaling USD 92.78 billion by August 2024. China also invested USD 5.4 billion in Indonesia during the third quarter of 2024.
The collaboration between LiuGong and PNJ is a great example of how education and industry partnerships can benefit both countries. LiuGong’s investment in the Customer Experience Center at PNJ gives students and lecturers hands-on experience with heavy machinery, helping to improve Indonesia’s human resource development.
Innovation and Sustainability at the Core
This year’s competition featured a unique challenge: participants had to show both theoretical and practical skills using LiuGong’s electric heavy machinery, particularly the 856H-EV Wheel Loader. As part of LiuGong’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions, this fully electric loader is a step forward in making industries like mining and construction more environmentally friendly. It offers high performance without sacrificing efficiency, all while supporting a cleaner, greener future.
The winning team will not only receive prizes but will also represent Indonesia at the LiuGong Global Technical Skills Competition 2024 in China this November.
